Cortez, Colorado – Three area teens have been selected to participate in the Colorado Youth Leadership Initiative. The Episcopal Church of Colorado’s Faith Formation office leads this three-year program that strives to help young people explore their faith, grow as potential leaders and make a difference in the world.
St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Colorado has three girls who have been selected to participate in the program. Annika, Gigi and Maya have all completed the first step of the program by attending a week-long camp at Cathedral Ridge, near Woodland Park, Colorado.
They have come home motivated for the next two years of the program which will take them to Haiti and Spain to spread the lessons they have learned in their faith and leadership skills. In order to cover the costs of their next two years in the program, the girls have met and developed a plan that includes a craft sale, bake sale and selling Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory candy bars.
If you are interested in making a tax-deductible contribution through St. Barnabas, or have any other questions, please use the contact form below.
